Permanent Magnets from Samarium-Cobalt-Alloys

Samarium-cobalt-alloys are produced at VAC under the name VACOMAX®.

They are suitable for applications in the high temperature range (depending on the variety up to 350 °C). Due to the high Curie temperature of the alloys, the decrease of the magnetic properties with increasing temperature is low.

Samarium-cobalt-alloys have a high corrosion resistance against aggressive media. Thus for most applications no coating of the magnets is necessary.
