Cores and Components of VAC comply with EU regulation EU 2002/95 EG (RoHS). However, in specific exceptional cases we may deliver specific product variants with prior written approval of our customers. These products are marked in our data sheets as "not RoHS compliant".

RoHS means "Restriction of the Use of certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment". The 2002/95/EC directive of the European Parliament and Council, dated January 27, 2003, restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment which will be placed on market after July 1, 2006:

• Lead (Pb)
• Cadmium (Cd)
• Mercury (Hg)
• Hexavalent chromium
• Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
• Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE)
