VACUUMSCHMELZE early began to transfer labor-intensive manufacturing processes to more cost-effective countries. Since the 1980's for example, VAC has maintained production facilities in Asia. As a result of this transfer of manufacturing, today VAC has a well-established production network in Europe and Asia, which is optimized and best-suited for each product group.

VAC Germany
Hanau is the World Headquarters and key production facility for VAC. This location is VAC's R&D and Engineering center and has about 1500 employees. The melting of alloys takes place in Hanau, which is the beginning stage of the manufacturing process for a majority of our products.

VAC Slovakia
VAC manufactures inductive components as well as soft-magnetic parts for power electronics and permanent magnet assemblies in its facility in Horná Streda, near Bratislava.

VAC Asia
Singapore is VAC's Regional Headquarters for Asia. This Regional Headquarters coordinates and provides technical support for all sales activities in the area. The location in Pekan, Malaysia manufactures inductive components for telecommunications and power electronics.

VAC China
The Shanghai location manages all sales activities in China. In collaboration with VAC's Chinese partners, VACUUMSCHMELZE manufactures Toroidal Tape Wound Cores, inductive components and assemblies for telecommunications and installation technology at the production plant in Shenyang. With its partner San Huan VAC is operating the joint venture SANVAC dedicated to the production Neodymium-Iron-Boron Magnets in Beijing.
